The people of Belfast, what can I say. Resilient comes straight to mind, alongside that there is a sense of adaptability that flows through the air of our wee city. Whether it be building ships, linen or rope and most recently tv & film production, Belfast has always excelled in everything that they have done, enough to become known as the capital of the world for many throughout the years. With even the big American companies such as Aflac Insurance coming to Belfast because and I quote: “If how we were treated on arrival as strangers is how the people here treat their own, then this is the place our company should be”.
Belfast really is special, the spanning metropolis’ such as London and Dublin is not what you will get coming to this city, instead, you get a city that you will feel at home in, a small yet cultured place, where the people walking by will flash you a smile and where the people at the table next to you in the pub who begin as strangers, will depart as friends. The adaptability of the people is very apparent in the food culture here, the food available here is expanding at an astounding rate. One such place that really is special in Belfast is Yugo. A warm, contemporary eatery serving Asian fusion seafood & vegan plates alongside classic cocktails in Belfast’s city and east.

An absolute masterpiece, both of these dishes will blow your mind, without breaking the bank, this is absolutely one of Belfast’s hottest spots and the likelihood of this changing is highly unlikely.

Touching back to the point that was made before is the amazing ability to walk the entirety of this city, visiting all of the hot spots as you bar crawl through the city, entering the cobbled alleys that take you, seemingly into another realm.

Is Belfast Worth Visiting?
I will put it like this to you, every single time I hear someone who is leaving, they are struck with awe, genuine disbelief that in the beginning, it was a possibility they would not come. With the current new life coming to the city in the form of development, office and new restaurants, the future looks bright after a bleak past, a city rising from the ashes – quite literally. It is a city with a difference:
- Small city – the buzz of a big one
- So different – but not just politically
- City of history – an immense culture
- Safe – contrary to popular belief – The safest city in Europe
